The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the dates and location of our 7th Annual Conference. This year's conference will take place in beautiful downtown Seattle, Washington. The Washington State Convention Center is located near several quality hotels and is within walking distance of Pike Street Market and the Seattle Center. This year's theme is a response to a demand for a comprehensive conference on issues arising from the CyberWorld, including cyberbullying, cyberthreats, sexting, online aggression and youth risk online.
In addition, we will include breakout sessions in traditional bullying prevention areas as we always have. But our theme, and many of our breakout sessions and panels, will focus on the CyberWorld.
The Board of Directors gratefully acknowledges the kind support of the Microsoft Corporation, which makes this conference possible.
REGISTRATION is now available. You can register and pay online for ultimate convenience and immediate confirmation. Remember that you will need your MEMBER ID in order to enjoy the discounted membership registration fee. You can look up your Member ID in the Members Only section of this website (see link to the left).

| PRESENTATION PROPOSALS are no longer being accepted. We appreciate the interest shown by the many proposals that have been sent our way. There are far more proposals than presentation opportunities, and we are having to make some difficult choices. If your proposal is not accepted this year, please try again next year. |

About the International Bullying Prevention Association
|
|
It has taken more than three decades of academic study of bullying behaviors, public revelations and attention to the true consequences for those who bully and those who are bullied and world-wide media coverage of incidents of unspeakable cruelty, suicide, and homicide, to bring educators, students, law enforcement, health care workers, and parents together in a global effort to do something about it. Bullying hurts and for those involved, the hurt can last a lifetime. As a world, we are learning that bullying behavior can be the root of serious violent situations in our schools. Many countries have adopted policies and procedures for Safe Schools.
We are well aware that there is nothing new about bullying behaviors. What is new is that bullying prevention has become recognized as a worthy topic of study and best practices in research are available. The International Bullying Prevention Association welcomes you to join us as we work together to take research-based best practices into our countries, schools and communities, to make our world a more welcoming and safer place for all. Interested in making a donation to the cause of bullying prevention? The International Bullying Prevention Association is a tax-exempt charitable organization under § 501(c)3 of the United States Tax Code.
